No, Augmentin cannot be taken with any other medications. The recommended dose of Augmentin is 2 capsules per day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a lower dose.
Can Augmentin cause yeast infections?
No, Augmentin does not cause infections. It can still grow. However, itraconazole and vaginal thrush are less common but may be treated with yeast overgrowth, or with penicillin or tigecycline antibiotics.
How should Augmentin be used?
Augmentin is usually taken orally with or without food. It is best to take Augmentin with food or milk if you are dehydrated, it has been more than 3 days in the past 2 weeks, or if you have liver problems. If you miss a dose of Augmentin, go back to your regular dosing schedule and skip the missed dose. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Augmentin 1g is used to treat bacterial infections. It is also used to prevent and reduce the risk of infections in the lungs, kidney, liver, and heart. These infections include those that cause fever, chills, sore throat, headaches, and other symptoms. Use Augmentin 1g as necessary and during the entire time you are taking it to deal with the infection. Do not take more than once a day. People with kidney problems should use Augmentin 1g every 6 months while taking other medications they are taking.
Do not use Augmentin 1g if you are allergic to it or any other medications, or if you have severe heart or liver problems. Do not take Augmentin 1g if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant or plan to become pregnant. People with a history of heart attack, angina, kidney problems, or other heart conditions should use Augmentin 1g as soon as possible.
Augmentin 1g works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Doctors may prescribe some or—-non-prescription medicines containing aminoglutethimide (Glutathione) for this purpose.
People with diabetes should use Augmentin 1g regularly as the medication may increase the risk of kidney problems and kidney failure.
Augmentin 1g may cause dizziness or lightheadedness while taking it. People who feel dizzy should sit or lie down for at least 10 minutes before each dose of Augmentin 1g. You should avoid exposure to light while using Augmentin 1g.
Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs help while taking Augmentin 1g.
The risk of this condition being caused by a hormone is about the same as that caused by heart disease. However, the risk of heart attack may be slightly higher when you use hormone replacement therapy.
